 FAQs

  • No problem! We are beginner-friendly and pride ourselves on having a variety of skill levels who support each other.

  • No need to worry! You don’t need to know how to read music to join. In addition to sheet music, we do some learning by ear, and put recordings of the different parts on the website so you can also practice on your own time if you want.

  • Maxime Crawford-Holland is leading the choir. He has lots of experience, including working for many community music programs and has a Master’s in Music Education. For more information, click the “About Maxime’s Approach” button below.

  • We embrace a diverse range of musical styles! Our repertoire includes pop songs, specially arranged choir pieces, and selections from various cultures. Many of our songs come directly from requests made by our choir members.

  • Life happens, and we completely understand. If you can't make it to a rehearsal, don't worry! We do encourage you to catch up by practicing a little on your own.

  • Absolutely! While our main focus is on the joy of connecting through music each week, we also love to share our passion with family, friends, and the whole community. For each session we aim to organize one or two performances.

  • We love getting input from our members! If you have a song in mind that you'd like the choir to explore, let Maxime know in-person or via email.

  • Maxime will send out a weekly email with information summarizing the choir rehearsal, what you can practice for the following week, and any upcoming events.
